Candidate Announcement Web Ad

The Local Government Health Insurance Board (LGHIB) is now accepting nominations for candidates for Position Two on the LGHIB. This is one of the two elected positions on the nine member Board and is primarily responsible for establishing policies related to the administration of the Local Government Health Insurance Plan (LGHIP).

Two represents the LGHIP members who are either retired or work for an employer participant that is not a municipal or county government agency.

Prospective candidates must submit their required documentation by 5:00 pm on Friday, August 14, 2020.

To qualify, prospective candidates must:

  • have at least 10 years of creditable coverage in the LGHIP and be an active, full-time employee of an employer participant that is not a municipal or county government, or
  • a retiree participating in the LGHIP

To submit your nomination, complete this form, and email it, along with a picture of yourself and your candidate statement to elections@lghip.org. Your candidate statement should be limited to less than 100 words and concisely explain why you want to run and why people should vote for you. Voting begins September 14, 2020 and will end at 5:00 pm central time on October 9, 2020.
